Description

Products Features

  • SMOOTH WALL DESIGN:  Provides contact along length of expansion area; provides consistent holding values; aesthetic appeal
  • INTERNAL NATIONAL COARSE THREADS:  Common threads create easier selection of threaded rod or bolt
  • IDEAL FOR FLUSH MOUNTING: Nothing protrudes above surface of the concrete once anchor is properly installed
  • MOST CONSISTENT HOLDING VALUES:  Can be used in solid concrete as an internally threaded concrete fastener
  • SLOTTED BODY IS PRECISION MATCHED TO TAPERED EXPANSION PLUG:  Ensures that the anchor is uniformly expanded to provide consistent holding value

  1. Drill a 5/8″ hole into the concrete using a carbide-tipped bit that meets ANSI Standards B212.15.
  2. The depth of the hole can be deeper or equal to the minimum embedment depth of 2″ which is equal to the length of the anchor .
  3. Clean the hole with a wire brush, vacuum, compressed air, or a blow-out bulb.
  4. Insert the anchorinto the hole with the open threaded end facing up.
  5. Take the correct 1/2″ Coil Drop-In Anchor Zinc Plated setting tool and insert the smaller diameter end into the threaded portion of the 1/2″ Coil Drop-In Anchor Zinc Plated.
  6. Strike the end of the setting tool with a hammer until the anchor is fully set.
  7. The 1/2″ Coil Drop-In Anchor Zinc Plated is now set. A 1/2″ diameter threaded rod or a bolt can be inserted into it with a maximum torque of 20 ft. lbs.
  8. Always use proper personal protective equipment per manufacturer’s and OSHA instructions.
